I currently live in Essex. I moved from London 10 years ago. We are lucky and live in a lovely area, but it's expensive.
I'm a full time single parent, my DD's dad isn't involved. I own a house which is expensive, ideally I'd like to be mortgage free. Last week I was made redundant, I'm tired of looking over my shoulder wondering if I will loose my job and my house. It's an additional stress I don't need.
In an ideal world I'd like to live in a nice community which isn't too isolated, close to schools where my DD can meet friends. Also an area which is pretty and I could have some animals like chickens, a dog and a goat! It's been my dream since I was a child.
I recently had a health scare which was awful, I'm ok but it's made me realise that I need to slow down. I need to make radical changes to my life.
Can anyone recommend a nice areas in Somerset which might be suitable for us?
