I live in a wealthy area in a detached townhouse with a driveway, small garden - house prices are high due to the proximity to the sea & beach.

I am constantly on rightmove looking at country properties as I would like more land around us.

Although, when we purchased the house we were done with gardens & land. We wanted convenience -
But I've never felt more closed in, I feel like it's not me.

I'm not a towny.

Can I have a perspective of someone in large home with land.

For context, a straight swap in value for us, a house I have found is a home built in 1600, grade 2 listed, 10 bedrooms, pool room, car port and 3 acres.

2 miles from a pretty market town.

I'm not totally sure what your question is?

We have 6 bedrooms c.600 sqm property in more than 30 acres. It is a lot of upkeep and potentially isolating being so rural.

Personally I love it, and would like more time there, but my DP finds it more challenging.
