Growing up in Brecon?

Hi all!
We're considering a possible move in the future to the Brecon area of Wales. We live relatively rurally already in England, so we should be ok on that front.

We have a four year old, can anyone help by saying what it's like living and growing up in this area? What about public services, general safety, cost of living etc?

Hello, we love Brecon! Never lived there but visited loads and seems to have so much to offer. Schools seem good, leisure facilities, so well located for beaches to the south and west, Cardiff and Swansea both easy drive and the mountains and river are just stunning. Loads of castles and places to visit too. I might join you!!
