I’m looking for some help and/or advice. My DH and I are returning to Britain having lived abroad for several years. We struggling to sell our UK flat due to high rates causing a sluggish market. We need to sell it in order to buy a home for us and our 4 rescue dogs and 2 cats. In the meantime we want to rent in England but finding it equally hard to find a rental that will allow our pets. All of whom are well behaved and living currently in a rental abroad. Would anyone rent us a property with a garden with our pets for up to around 9 months? Ideally in the south west but anywhere south of Birmingham. Maybe an empty property that isn’t usually let but would benefit from being lived in? Or know of an agency that caters for our type of family?
🙏

Zoopla have a filter on rentals that show pet friendly places.

There aren't many rentals that accept pets though. We had real trouble finding a place that would allow ours cats (and they generally weren't that nice homes).

The Zoopla tick box is in the filter section (see below)

Just to add, I tried it for Oxford, 464 rentals, then put the pet toggle on and it reduced to just 4!

You may need to start approaching agents and asking them to ask. I would suggest agents like Carter Jonas, Jackson Staff and Stops or Strutt and Parker who tend to also be land agents and may know of properties on farms or estates that are more likely to accept pets.
But also asking agents to ask landlords I rent a property I don’t advertise for pets, but I do accept them if everything else checks out.
