A nice/affordable village in Northamptonshire

DH and I currently rent in Hertfordshire and live with our DD (under 1.) We want to move and buy a property and Northamptonshire seems to be more affordable and not too far from family who still live in Herts.
Can anyone recommend any villages?
Would be lovely if had a community, local pub/shop or bakery, safe. Properties around 300 - 350k.
thanks!

Stoke Bruerne is my fav. Currently live in Northamptonshire and its the only place I'd like to live in the whole county.

Moulton, Earls Barton, Market Harborough( only just over the border into Leicestershire) or maybe Long Buckby.

Wollaston is quite nice, we have friends who live there.

I wouldn't rule out Bedfordshire, just over the border from North Herts. Silsoe, pirton, ampthill, harlington. Barton le clay.

I have friends in Crick and it seems like a lovely village, has a nice marina along the canal as well

You won’t get much for 350 in market harbs.
