Goffs Oak / Cuffley

What is it like to live in these and surrounding areas? I’ve driven around on various occasions but finding it hard to get a feel for it for day to day living and community spirit. Would love to hear from anyone with recent experience of living there.

Hi, I think they are largely commuter "villages/housing estates" with a few shops, a church etc. Not a lot there except houses and a handy train station in Cuffley

Thanks @Sluj - that sort of confirms my feeling. There’s nothing wrong with it but I just wasn’t sure if I was missing something significant. I just thought there would be more about it, some vibrancy of some sort!

Have you thought about one of the towns a little bit further out? Welwyn, Ware, Hertford? They are proper towns and communities with lots going on and good transport links to London if you need that?

I have considered bigger towns but I wanted to be within a certain radius of work / school and was looking at a new build in the Goffs Oak area. Back to the drawing board. Thanks for your input.
