Moving from Birmingham to exeter

Hi guys / I’m looking to move to ex4 from Birmingham I won’t know anyone down here but want a better upbringing for my son and his future. What is this area or school ms like and do you think I’m doing the right thing as I’ll be completely new to a coastal environment:)

Well 'better' is subjective.

Perhaps you could say 'why Exeter' if you know no-one there ?
As in, what is attracting you to Exeter specifically, and then people who live / have lived there can tell you what they know about the specifics you are looking for?

Do you have a job there ?
It is quite challenging to start out in a City where you don't know anyone - though of course people do move around for work or other reasons all the time.
Would you be renting or buying ?
