Hi all!

Myself and DH are looking at relocating nearer to the seaside with our two DS, age 3 & 1, ideally in a little village just outside a bigger town.
Currently live in Bedfordshire but looking at maybe Norfolk/Suffolk way?
Am looking for a nice area with some things to do for the boys and decent schools but somewhere a little quieter at the same time.
Just don't know where to start looking!

Thank you!

I'm in North Norfolk if you want to move to blakeney, Burnham market it's mega money. Avoid Great Yarmouth it's horrific- poverty, high crime. I'd avoid Lowestoft and Goreleston.
Aylsham is nice, North Walsham there isn't much there but ten mins from coast has all you need.
Cromer- lovely but bloody nightmare in summer as you have to go through town centre and traffic so bad. You tend to find nearer Norwich more expensive. Sheringham is another option but bear in mind North Norfolk coast to nearest hospital is an hour.
Public transport expensive really have to drive.
Jobs wise- not much.
I'm the fourth gen to live in my town so I know no other but the pace of life is quiet and low crime.
Zero dental provision NHS wise and limited private.

School wise small village schools. High school- Aylsham High School is excellent best in North Norfolk but over subscribed we are not in catchment but we're lucky enough to get a place for year 7
Mundesley is amazing small village by sea ten mins from North Walsham but pricy. Has a Tesco express

Regarding Suffolk...

Ipswich- not a city I'd ever choose to be near by choice, do not reccomend. Increasingly unsafe. But surrounded by some beautiful villages. Not too far from the coast.
Bury st edmunds- many lovely villages in surrounding area. Lovely town. 1-1.5 hour to the seaside though.
Woodbridge- lovely area but small town so you would have to venture in to ipswich for many things. Close to the seaside and forests though.

Lots of other great villages surrounding the small market towns (stowmarket, neeedham market, hadleigh) if you don't mind a more rural way of life.

I'd go for around Bury if you don't need to be very close to the coast.
