Have an offer accepted on a house just outside Dorchester-on-Thames in Oxfordshire *. Getting cold feet about going ahead with it, leaving my community in Oxford. My community has been especially important to me as I’m a single parent with two primary school age kids whose Dad sadly died. Does anyone know if Dorchester is an easy place to make friends and if the primary school has a nice community? I do have a partner with a child from his previous marriage and they will likely eventually join us, but I’d be on my own with the kids there initially. Moving as I feel I need a fresh start, and feel a strong pull to live in the countryside, and love it there, though I do have lovely local friends where I live in Oxford. Thanks!
