Move From harrow to Rochester/Chatham kent

Hi everyone.

I need some advice. I’m planning to sell my house which is in harrow and planning to move to Rochester/Chatham area in Kent.
we are Asian family and my concern is that will wr be felt like an outcast there ?
I have young kids ! Is it a safe place to live ?

It's quite a multicultural area so you definitely shouldn't feel an outcast.
Whether it's safe depends exactly where you're moving too, both have fome not great areas although Rochester tends to be nicer.

Chatham is a dump, wouldn't move there. Rochester is a bit better so out of the 2 I'd go there.

Chatham is awful. Rochester is a million times better.

Chatham Town centre is completely awful but there are area's that come under Chatham like St Mary's Island that while aren't everyone's idea of a perfect area to live in really aren't terrible.
Rochester is quaint and touristy but its still got a few dodgy streets.
Visit and you will very quickly get a feel for it

Walderslade In Chatham and the village seemed very quiet leafy and lovely and viewed a house which is just tucked away, is Walderslade village safe and worth moving into .

Walderslade is fine OP. Lots of friends who live there with no problem

Have you made the move from Harrow yet? I am moving from Harrow to Chatham this April. We had a rental there which we are moving into for various reasons. Just curious to know how you are settling in.
