I need some honest opinions please.
i am thinking about moving from Hertfordshire to crediton in Devon through a homeswap.
some background: I have two young children, 3 and 1 and on my own. My youngest has a rare condition which means he is in hospital a lot and that he has lots of medical conditions which I’m capable of handling. None of my family have training on how to look after him and I do it all on my own basically.
my ex (their dad) is emotionally abusive, I’ve dealt with him for a long time and am about ready to never have to see him again cos of what he has out me through.
i have the opportunity to move and I’m thinking about it, not to run away but for a better pace of life, better countryside, beaches and overall to bring mY boys up in a nicer place as well as try and get on with my life after a really hellish time. I’d be leaving my mum, dad, brother and all friends.
I do have an uncle, aunt and cousins in the area as well as a friend so I won’t be on my own but it’s not the same obviously.
I just want some advice really and if anyone knows what the area is like as well as what they would do in my situation. Ex does see the kids and I’d still allow every other weekend visits.
