Hi All,

Could anyone offer their opinion on moving to Broseley or surrounding areas IE Bridgnorth, Bewdley, Ironbridge etc? Me and the family are looking for a quieter way of life and want to get away from city living. Have been to these areas for day trips but nothing more and loved it but wanted to get the opinion of someone who perhaps lives there and knows the area well. Can you recommend any other areas,? dont really want to go much further West than Bridgnorth as need to travel to Stourbridge for work.

Kids are grown up and driving so schools not a consideration.

Just somewhere scenic and without a bad rep with reasonable property prices (and without flooding).

many thanks!

Have a look at Much Wenlock, one of my favourite places, historic, next to Wenlock Edge for greenery & nice town centre & houses nice, though probably pricy, potentially a bit of a closed village atmosphere, quite posh. I love going there for dog walks. Ironbridge does flood, yes, quite badly every year and a tourist hotspot so tends to be crowded, very hilly, very green. Bridgnorth is a historic and busy city, too busy for me personally. Bewdley not much going on I don't think, except it's a stop off on the steam train between kidderminster and bridgnorth. Don't know much about Broseley.

Brosley used to have a reputation Fi or being a bit inbred. Not sure if it still does now

It was one family about thirty years ago.. but most small villages in shropshire have a similar vibe!!
