Relocation - how long till I feel at home ?

Just relocated 1 hour away from "home" . I feel so alone and out of sorts and missing "home" - anyone else relocated and felt like this ? How long till I can settle?
I am trying to make new friends - I've joined a theatre group which I'm enjoying- I'm just missing my family and friends

Aww itll take a while. Just get out and about and do things, see the new area. Keep in touch and see friends and family regularly so you aren't lonely. I'd say it took me a year to meet my new social group when I moved. The few I made before didn't last. I dont regret the move at all, I love the country.
