Hertfordshire advice - Bragbury End, Knebworth

Hi,

We are looking to relocate from North London to Hertfordshire. We have two children 4 & 2 months.

After researching, we have come across many different areas we believe are nice and within our budget such as Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Welwyn Garden City & Knebworth.

We have been told to avoid Stevenage, but we have found a property that ticks a lot of boxes for us which is located in Bragbury End.

Can anyone shed any light on what it is like as an area, in terms of crime, things to do, local shops, primary & secondary schools, nurseries.

Whilst it is technically in Stevenage, it is closer to Knebworth than the town centre, does this make a big difference?

Also on a side note, Bragbury End looks to be about a 30 minute walk away from Knebworth station (husband will need to commute to London for work) - He may need to drive and park at/near the station, but is concerned the car park is small and there may be a fight for spaces in the mornings, does anyone have experience with this?
