hello fellow mumsnetters... I know there are some old threads on this topic..but nothing current-ish! We are seriously considering moving to the Totnes area and I would be so grateful for some views on Keviccs, the local Secondary. We are not in a position to go private and our son is not academically inclined so grammars are out of the question too. Totnes as a town is a good fit for us as a family, but I do worry about Kevicc. From what I've seen when out and about round home time, the kids don't seem that well behaved and seem a scruffy bunch! Don't really mind the latter as I'm a bit scruffy myself! but the former makes me concerned about bullying, truancy and the like. My son is quite sensitive and worry about him fitting in.. he would be entering in-year.. whats the pastoral care like? have you had good or bad experiences there? Would like to hear all sides, warts and all.. We are attracted by the artiness of the school and the Head does a good job of selling the school..any advice hugely appreciated!
