Just wondering if anyone was on the fence about making the move from London to the country and how they’re finding it now?
DH and I just had an offer accepted on a beautiful little cottage in Surrey (first time buyers) - it’s a great commuter distance to work in London and I know the area as I grew up nearby. We also want to start TTC next year. However, suddenly getting anxious about making the move out of London, one of the reasons being that most of my friends are still living the fast and furious young professional London life (I am 27). That used to be all I wanted and I love the late theatre / dinner / gym nights, easy socialising and easy WALKING commute, but this perfect cottage came on the market and we took a chance. I definitely enjoy the country living, but I feel so young to move out of London! However, our current rental flat is perfect for a couple but definitely not children too. I would also love a dog and this isn’t possible in the flat. I know I’m probably overthinking things - just wondering if anyone else has been in the same situation and how it worked out for them?
