Moving to Southborough

Hi. We recently moved from London to the countryside and really miss city / town life. We are considering a move closer to TW but are a little priced out the market.

We've seen a property in southborough we like, (near majestic) we don't know the area well but need primary school at the moment and a nursery

Can anyone tell what it's like in all honesty. I'm happy to do a lengthy walk in tw occasionally but does southborough have much going on? Is it family friendly, what's the primary school.like etc etc. TIA!

I lived in TW for most of my life, moved away in 2019. Not a parent so can't advise on the schools front other than knowing that St Matthews and St Johns were always very popular with my friends when I lived there. Southborough is (or was) a bit meh to be honest, there are a few shops but they're all on the busy A26 so not a place people tend to have a nice walk through. It's just a lot of houses near the busy road into and out of TW. Traffic is a nightmare during rush hour.

I guess it's a nice enough place to live but not a massive amount going on but as you say you can easily walk into TW or down to High Brooms station and you're in London in 45 mins.
