Hi everyone! my boyfriend and I are saving up to buy our first home. Swindon is one of our options but we don’t have a clue where to live. I am very much aware of the reputation but would love to be in between west country and London. I have close family in Swindon in basically all parts so I know what they roughly are like. I am making this post because I am so stuck trying to find the right area, I am interested in west I have been there so many times and love the rural atmosphere I get. I have also been looking at highworth/wootton bassett but have never been there so I dont know what they're like. We are two young adults and moving from London. We are looking for:
- decent house prices. we are looking for a nice spacious 2/3 bed for around 200-230k
- good transport links
- good schools (although don’t have kids now I would like to consider it)
- nice people
- low crime
I am so sorry if I am asking for a bit much but obviously if you are buying your house you want it to be perfect. Hopefully you guys can help x
