Welsh village recommendations please

Hoping to relocate from the south east in the next couple of years. Looking at South Wales, either within 45 mins drive max of Cardiff or Swansea. Our budget is 200k but can go higher if we needed to/for the right house, hoping for a detached 3 bed plus with large garden, Rightmove suggests this is doable. Would like to be on the outskirts of a village with a primary school, dr's, food shop etc, with easy access to nice walks/open countryside.
I've tried to research online but it's really hard to work out where might suit, and we aren't able to visit yet because of covid. Does anybody have any suggestions for places I could look at in more depth please?

I live near swansea. If you follow the valley north out of swansea you hit the villages of clydach, Trebanos, Pontardawe, Ystalyfera and Ystradgynlais.

The farther up the valley you go, as a rule the prices start to come down. There has been a lot of investment/interest in these villages over the last couple of years. New properties are being built along with supermarkets. In places welsh is still very strong (but not the first language), there are excellent welsh schools serving these areas. My children go to welsh school and are bilingual - i do not speak welsh nor does my husband. These villages have a lovely feel and strong communities.

There are lovely areas the other side of Swansea close to gower, but the house prices are higher.

This is a bit further out, a lovely area, i have friends who have just moved this way.

Thank you @Seagullslanding. Community would be nice, not much of that where we are, and you would barely get a 2 bed flat for 200k. I prefer Swansea to Cardiff but finding work is the problem.
