Hello Smile

Wondering if I could get some advice. My fiancé and I are looking to move out of SW6 London this summer, to get some more space and own a property. We have a cat and a dog who will be moving with us and the plan is to start a family in the next year or so. Due to work and provided this Pandemic gets better, we will need to travel into london (ideally London Bridge) for work potentially every day. We don't want to live more than an hour away from London Bridge if possible.

We have family in SW6, friends in Farnham, Oxford, Beaconsfield and Bedford. The plan is to find a house that is a ideally 3 bed but would go for 2 if it's absolutely necessary and our budget is according to the Help To Buy so I think its ÂŁ437k for the South East.

Our dream would be Berkhamstead, Henley, Marlow, Beaconsfield, St Albans but they are all way out of budget and we need to have new houses.

Can you recommend any areas we should go for or avoid?

Haddenham Bucks or Bicester Oxon. Both have stations on the chiltern line which would get you to Marylebone in less than an hour, I don't know how long it takes to get to London Bridge from there. Both would be within your budget and handy for Oxford with Beaconsfield not too far away

Ampthill or Flitwick, you can go straight into London Bridge on Thameslink and you will get a seat on the train. You can buy a decent house for your budget.

Thank you for your messages @CheeseCakeSunflowers and @elastamum. We found a lovely property in cholsey near the station and about 8 minutes to wallingford. Have you any experience in that area?
