Moving to the Cotswolds - help!

First time poster... looking for some Mumsnet help.

We’re in the process of selling our house in North London and moving to the Cotswolds where my in laws live.

The only problem is we can’t decide where.

We’re looking for:

  • Good community with things to do e.g. gym/pilates/cinema etc
  • Good schools for DD 3 months and DS 3
  • Near a train station with access to London for semi-regular commuting

We can afford around £750k but would like a detached house with decent size garden.

I’ve heard good things about Stroud and the surrounding area, and Evesham (although technically not in the Cotswolds). Where else should we be looking?

Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
