Hello,

Interested to find out what Edenbridge is like as a place to live. Thinking of moving into the area with a young family and keen to know from those that live there what the pro's & con's are & having read similar posts on here from 2016, hoping it has improved from then?

Many thanks in advance for any advice!

I live in a tiny village near to Edenbridge. My daughter goes to one of the nurseries there. I like it but I just pop in and out of the shops and don't actually live in the centre of it. We use the leisure centre - the pool is great and daughter does some of the activities there.
They have village fairs and a fire works parade every year.

Like every where there are a couple of roads which are a bit run down so make sure you have a good wander around the village. The two train stations are very handy. Plus it's only a short drive to Sevenoaks, East Grinstead and Tunbridge Wells where there are theatres and cinemas.

The Old Eden Pub does lovely food.

Just to add I moved here from the Croydon area 6 years ago so it's seems very relaxed to what I had before.

We make the most of the lovely countryside walks and rural pubs.

Thanks for the info, all very helpful to know. We are potentially looking at the new development (Oakley Park) and with my wife and I being out of the area want to get as much of an insight into the area as we can. I've heard the primary schools outside Edenbridge are good. Do you know much about them? Is the one actually in Edenbridge rated?
Many thanks
