Paddock Wood area reviews

Hello

We're an Indian couple, early 30s planning to move out from South East London towards Kent. With a budget of around 475-500k, Paddock wood seems to provide a lot of value for money.
Based on older reviews on this forum, seems like a good area for commute, schools and overall kid's activities, but a few other blogs tend to write it off as being quite grim / not great for diversity etc.

Would love to get inputs from anyone who has made the move in the last few years or knows a bit about the area - quality of life, amenities, good/bad neighborhoods. Alternative for us is around Tonbridge but quite pricey based on a quick search on Rightmove/Zoopla :/

Thanks

Its a shame no one responded to your post. I get the feeling its a racial thing as you mentioned the fact that you were Indian. Some really nasty people on this site. Hope you get input from elsewhere. Sorry I cant help.

Why on earth would people not respond as she said she was Indian? I’ve never seen that before on here.
Op I live in Kent but not Paddock Wood I don’t know it very well. However Wrotham, West Malling etc are very nice. Good standard of living and people are generally friendly. Primary schools are very good but not so sure on secondary. There is some diversity and due to the exodus from London there has been an increase. We have families in our small village from all ethnicities.
@vnt0515 good luck in your search

Well I am glad my comment provoked at least one response.

I feel Paddock Wood is quite a decent decent place to live mix mixture of Social classes. my daughters live there for about six years and the people are very friendly and help each other. I hope to move down that way and hopefully I will find the same. I tend to think if you’re friendly, helpful and happy you tend to attract that, so wishing you all the best whatever you choose.
