Move from London to York

Hi there - we are considering moving from SE London to York, and would welcome any advise on best areas for families!
We have a young baby and looking to move somewhere more family friendly

Depends on what your needs are. Will you be working in York City. That for one is an issue as traffic and parking is a total nightmare. Cycles are a big transport option within york.

The villages around York are lovely but you might want to look between York and Leeds which opens up other transport options etc.

We are also looking to move to York from London ,we are in our 50 s work from home ,would like a small town walking distance from shops any suggestions ?
