Villages in Cheshire

We're currently living in a Manchester suburb and hoping to move out of the city in the next year or so - but not sure where! Looking for some advice please ☺️

Our criteria are: reasonable commute to Manchester (up to about an hour - ideally with the option of getting the train, even if that means driving to the station), good primary school for DD, pretty rural/village setting, friendly/sense of community, some options for socialising without having to go into the city eg village pub, south rather than north of Manchester (to be closer to my family) - hence thinking of Cheshire. Budget around £500k.

Any suggestions? TIA 🙏🏼

Nantwich area is lovely. Lots of nice restaurants.
