We are currently house hunting in Kent and are looking at Sittingbourne, Aylesham and Whitstable. Does anyone know these areas well or live here?

We have 2 children who will both be primary school aged when we move and my hubby will be commuting into London.

Any help would be amazing, thank you!

Currently looking for a house in the maidstone barracks area of maidstone. Any good? Moving before we start a family.

Whitstable over Sittingbourne for sure, don't know Aylsham. Spent some years in Faversham which we loved, think there has been a lot of new development recently though.

Sittingbourne itself is a bit grim- but there are some lovely villages round about. Whitstable is very twee and expensive-but again, nice villages. I know both areas quite well, so could probably answer specific questions. Don’t know Ayleshan at all. Beware the dreaded 11+, though!
