Hi all, I thought I'd get some proper advice, and what better than mums that live in the area. So, me, my wife and 2 children aged 2 and 5 are planning to move to christchurch in 2 years. We have a budget of 450-500k, and wanted to get your advice on where To Live, baring in mind schools etc. Are there any particular nice roads and no go areas to avoid. Would also consider surrounding areas such as broadstone, high cliffs, southboune etc.
Also any tips on catchment areas for schools, or more house for your money's worth also.

Thanks advance Smile

Highcliffe is reasonable but pretty rammed with older people. Same with Barton on Sea.
Stanpit is mostly okay. Purewell often fine. Avoid Somerford, Boscombe/Springbourne, West Howe, Townsend.
All of Broadstone fine but nuisance to get to Christchurch if you were planning on working there.
Southbourne fine except near the train station.
Winton/Charminster are busy areas where you can get good houses for that money but there's loads of student houses and HMO's. Quick transport links to town and beyond.
