Mutual exchange via the council... anyone?

I am part of a housing association and have only lived here since December 2017. It is in a small village and I don't drive and I'm finding it VERY isolating with a toddler and it's playing havoc with my mental health as I was bought up in a town with lots of shops and a lot of activities going on.
I cannot put in for a mutual exchange until I have been here for a year because of my type of tenancy.
I'm wondering has anyone put in or been able to put in for a mutual exchange early for various or similar reasons?

Can't help on that front but where in the country are you? Happy to meet up with my DD who's 2.5.

We bought a hose in a village and I stayed put for seven years until we moved.
I felt so isolated so I understand where you’re coming from. It doesn’t matter if you’ve bought or rented, isolation is an awful feeling and has a terrible effect on mental health.
Can you speak to your gp and get in the La hosing register to be rehoused? From what I’ve read mental
Health issues are the most rehoused group and it sounds like you have grounds to be moved.
