Hi guys!

This is going to be a very open post as we're not specifically tied down to a certain area...

We're wanting some opinions on where is ideal to live for us (I'm going to post some more info down in a sec), I grew up in North Wales but have moved to Bradford to be with my partner (I am really unfamiliar with Yorkshire even though I've lived here for a couple of years, which is why I need everyone's help!)

We've just finished uni with no job commitments or anything, we're looking for a fresh start (rent for now), I'm looking for somewhere that's nice but also has good value for the rent you're paying (we can't afford anything over 550pcm really for now anyway), we're not really looking for anything specific just relatively close a convenience store, preferably somewhere rural so we can take some nice walks..

Sorry if this sounds really jumbled up and confusing! I just really want to get looking at houses and get things sorted now

So yeah we're open to anywhere as long as it's good value for money and close to some shops, ideally scenic

Thanks :)

Well, what are you going to do for work? What are your degrees in? Do you need land to grow food? Do you both drive and have cars? Do you have family or friends you want or need to be near?

Skipton is nice if you want a town centre with countryside on your doorstep.

Thank you :)

I knew I should've put more info down! My partner has a degree in law whilst I have a degree in psychology but at the moment we just want to find work as quickly as possible so I'm not fussed whether it's a team member role in retail or in a supermarket etc. as long as we have jobs for now!

My partner drives and I'm learning, he has a car yes :) We don't want to grow food but we do want a garden so we can make a flower bed and grow some flowers/plants and add some nice features to it but I'm sure we'll be able to find a house with a garden quite easily so that's OK.

As for family and friends we're not too fussed about being near, it would be nice but not essential, if there was a really nice place we could live that had everything else we wanted then we'd definitely choose that over being close to family and friends,

thank you! I have looked at skipton and I do like it so thank you :)

I'm in Cumbria, just south of Kendal, near the Lancashire border. It's beautiful here. Rural but not too inaccessible. Not too expensive unless you're looking within the Lake District National Park.

Hiya,

I don't know London well and just found a flat share in Walworth (Elephant and Castle) and don't know the area, some people have told me lots of different things. I love the location but don't know if the area is good to live in regarding safety and a friendly feeling? If people know about this area please could they help me and give me some advice about what they think? I have to decide soon so just want to make sure the area is an ok one to live in.

Thanks!
