What is Morecambe/Lancaster like to live in?

Just doing some day dreaming. My OH may have an opportunity to move to Lancaster/Morecambe with work. We currently live in Kent. Does anyone live there or visited and can offer an opinion please?

The pros would be:

Living back “oop North” - we have lived in Halifax and found the people to be so friendly and welcoming)

Half the rent - we pay £950 per month down here for a 2 bed semi detached house. I’m hoping we could save a fairly substantial amount moving north.

Being rural - we are here too but wouldn’t want to be moving to a big city

Anything else anyone can think of?

Smile

No advice other than to say you could do well living along the Furness railway line:

here

Arnside, Silverdale, Milnthorpe etc very nice places to live.

Beautiful countryside, designated area of outstanding natural beauty, good access to Lancaster, Manchester, Carlisle.
