We have rats around us and have seen one quite often in garage this week. Please can someone advise me of an effective rat repellant.

Get a cat or a terrier.

The rats we came up against were too smart for poison or traps!

We used a plug in thing that emits a noise too high for us to hear. It really does work, but I don’t know what affect it will have on other animals.

Peppermint oil. They hate the stuff.

If you are seeing them your infestation is far worse than you think. Just had a ratman in after 12 years of thinking I can live alongside them and he's put me wise. If they are in your property anywhere then they need to be dealt with.
