Hi,
My husband and I are house hunting! We’ve found a stunning 18th century cottage in a village location, near the village pub and church. It has a sweet little front garden, and there is a small triangular courtyard to the rear. My concern is resale.

Q: Would you consider buying a 3 bed/3bathroom family home, next to a quiet country pub, opposite a church, if it meant your children played mostly in a secluded front garden?

Church bells.
Quiet pub until the valley pub crawls come along.

Things to check!

How far away from the village is the nearest school? And city?

Nearest junior school and shops approx 2 mikes away. Senior school and more shopping choice 3 mikes the other way.

I hadn’t thought of pub crawls! To be fair it’s mostly frequented by walkers and their dogs.

Nearest city 11 mikes away I’d guess...

I wouldn’t buy next to a pub and I would want a rear garden .
