Hi i need a bit of advice please - long story short... we got in to rent arreas with our council house (partner lost his job) it was going to court, we paid everything off in full 6 weeks before the court date. Council said they would cancel the hearing but they never did and are now saying we have the pay the court fees as we didn't show up. Do we have to pay or are they in the wrong? Thanks for any advice
