Hi Everyone,

I've asked the same in the local section but thought I might get some different answers / views here!

My husband has a new job in Wimborne and so we're looking at where to live. We have 2 boys, 4 and 2yrs. Eldest is due to start reception this September so he'll have to start here and then change in about November when we move. (Still trying to find out about school applications, waiting list info, when best to apply etc, but the council are being useless less than helpful!!)

We've had a drive around and are half thinking about Sturminster Marshall. Do any of you live there or know anyone who does? What's it like for familes, is there much going on, kids football, toddler groups etc.

Thanks
xx

In case you still haven't decided- You need to decide about schooling. Dorset/ Poole are different LAs, and have differing school systems. In some areas there are first/middle/upper schools, in some there are primary/ secondary, and in Poole there are grammars, but not in Dorset. Confused yet?!
It's s lovely area. Just be aware that if you live rurally, the broadband may be totally rubbish. Where I live (rurally close to Wimborne ish) we get 0.7mbps on a good day. Within a mile of me they get 28mbps. If fast internet is important to you check first!
