Moving to North Devon (UK)

We are thinking about moving to North Devon. We are looking within a 15 mile radius of Bideford and would prefer a quiet village location. How busy does it get during the summer? Many thanks.

Hi,

Bideford isn't as busy as some of the North Devon towns can get.
If you post in the Mumsnet Devon forum you may find someone that lives in the area that can help you more with the local area. I'm based in South Devon Smile

The town itself doesn't get as busy as some others, but the roads around there certainly do (as do all the roads in North Devon in summer). That would probably be your main bugbear if you are concerned about the grockel effect

Not really busy at all. It does get busy around braunton, saunton, croyde, woolacombe etc but not near bideford, south or west of it. It's one of the things we like about living around here..
