Why did you leave a volunteering job?

I’ve been volunteering in charity shops for about eight years and have had a new manager about once a year on average. I’ve recently started to resent the constant changes and having to get used to a new person’s different take on the job. I’m aware this is a me problem - the things that irritate me are quite small - but at bottom I feel unappreciated.

So I’m wondering, why have other people left volunteering jobs?

I used to be the secretary for our local scouts. I left for several reasons- DS had left so I wasn’t as invested any more, the meetings seemed to be used mostly as an attempt to get myself and other committee members to do more volunteering rather than thanking us for what we did do and the overall leader was quite scathing if I got any scouting terms wrong.
