Nice list but don't fancy any of those.... would like to sit at a screen and do some data input or something like that....

Are you after paid work? Your local hospice would be very glad of an experienced admin volunteer.

RecordBreakers · 28/11/2025 23:57

I mean, NHS admin, wfh would seem to fit the bill ???

notatinydancer · 29/11/2025 12:17

Do you want paid work ? Is there a clerical bank at your local hospital?

FictionalCharacter · 30/11/2025 02:20

If you Google "volunteer transcription" there are some interesting opportunities.

NHS data admin are NHS coding jobs and require quite a bit more training. Have you looked on Indeed? I guess many of these data input wfh jobs can be done by AI these days unfortunately.

Why, what would you want to know?

abracadabra1980 · 15/12/2025 23:30

@Chewbecca... well anything, it's interesting to find out how people manage major life changes-don't you think?

CrikeyMajikey · 16/12/2025 05:31

Secondary schools are always looking for exam invigilators. It’s not just walking up and down, there is some admin stuff that goes with it. Most schools are testing different year groups throughout the year so it can become regular work.

Insurance claims handling?

My retired neighbour works in a fancy garden centre at weekends - indoor stuff not plants. She enjoys it and it’s helped her make new friends.
