hey guys i want to start investing my about 70-85% of income a year when i become 21-22 , i am going to join the army as an electrician within that time span and will be investing about 1450gbp a month ,im currently making a emergency fund of 10000gbp and i am currently at 4000. i dont have a good idea of what to invest into whether it be isa's or retirement funds but i am looking for 6-8% return regardless of risk. I am planning to invest this amount for 20-25 years and will increase my investment amount by 15-25gbp a month i would appreciate constructive and realistic advice and help thanks!

I suggest you ask for this to be moved to the Money Matters board.

Start by looking and understanding state pension and army pension.

Think about whether or not you want to buy a property. It may initially be a BTL with potential to be your home later. This will inform your savings and investment decisions E.g. do you opt for a LISA.
