hello all.
can somebody please answer this question.......
I am 42 years old and have been granted an ill health retirement from work with an enhancement as they recognise I will likely never work again.

I now have a private pension while I fully accept affects the amount of ESA you get.
Now..im currently on the support group of cotribution based ESA and been told that I no longer qualify for any money but I've still to go to the medicals. Why??!
If I'm not entitled to money why do i still need to attend?
Answers would much appreciate Smile

Perhaps it relates to NI contributions? I'm assuming your employer / pension provider does not expect you to keep claiming to demonstrate your continued incapability for work until you reach state pension age.
