Is my old flame a prick?

He's been flirting with me, blushing etc. He even invited me to his house. He has a girlfriend as I only found out recently. Is it ok to be this friendly when you have a gf or should you be more distant? He got my hopes up but I told him to piss off as I didn't feel like he was being fair on either of us.

Depends. What was he like before? Was he a generally flirty-but-harmlessly-so person or did you in fact bin him because he wasn't monogamous? Some people are routinely flirty/friendly and don't mean anything by it after all.
