Dh was taking ds out ealier (i'm stuck at home with a broken ankle and can't do alot atm), ds came to kiss me goodbye and dh just walked out of house without saying goodbye or anyhing ! I did call after him when i realised he was about to go and he came in and kiseed me goodbye and said he was concntrating on getting ds out so forgot to say goodbye to me. Feeling a bit sad about it, but maybe i'm just over sensitive atm because of the ankle?

No i get very upset over this.

DH is VERY loving and tactile but my 6 year old ds isnt.

I have to almost nag him for a good night cuddle and kiss. He hates to sit near me, or any touching.

when i go to work i am out of the house for up to 14 hours, so leave when he is just getting up and not home till he is asleep, even then he isnt keen.

It's ds who kissed me goodbye, it DH who was about to leave without saying anything

i get that, but just saying its upsetting when someone either is repelled by you like my ds or just forgets.
its theose little things that matter isnt it.

Yes, little things like that do matter. I told him that just becaue i can;t walk properly atm, i;m not invisible.

It is really not fair to put pressure on a child to show affection if they're not keen.

Op - I think the goodbye kiss is dealt with and in the past now, isn't it?

squashimodo · 03/07/2010 18:20

I think op is saying that her dh did not say goodbye not ds..

togoornot · 03/07/2010 18:22

Yes, dealt with and now i'm a bit oversenstitive atm DH just send a text to say he loves me

sweet

I would not deal well with being immobilised with a broken ankle, don't blame you being a bit over sensitive.
