Horrific divorce with psychotic ex husband

Hi to all..my first post ever.
Very bad divorce with soon to be ex..he is fleecing me money wise and a real bully thru law and in life. 2 kids one with mild autims and he wants a joint residence order but has not much contact..any tips or views? Am slowly drowning in this.tx

Hi..well, if anyone has any experience of securing a sole residence order when the ex and non resident parent wants a joint residence order..do say..that's for starters!

Joint Residence would be fairly normal in a situation where parents were married and lived together, as it is a continuation of the responsibilities they had before (as joint parents). It is not the same as 50/50 split and isn't necessarily about amounts of contact, although if there have been difficulties a defined contact order may also be made alongside that of Residence.

Have you tried/suggested mediation? Has your ex actually applied for a Joint Residence Order?

funny you should mention that.going to try and mediate shuttle style next month. he hasn't applied yet 4 jt residence order just keeps threatening it..now there is no way children procs will occur before finances are resolved.
