what have ss done?

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 12/06/2010 17:11

They made terrible inexplicable decisions and I am still coping with the results.

Sounds sh!t Fab

If they've made bad decisions then can you ask them to look into it again?

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 12/06/2010 17:42

I have made an official complaint.

They can't unmake the decisions or make it better. I despair as things haven't improved for children in care 30 years on.

So sorry.

And they wonder why people are so shi* scared of social workers!

Are 100% sure that they cant change things? I've read quit a few things on mn about social workers making up stuff to suit themselves. Could you get somone (not involved with ss) to look into it for you?
xx

No. It is about when I was a child and I am late thirties now.

I am not scared of them. I just hate them.

ThatVikRinA22 · 12/06/2010 18:02

snap on almost everthing fab, except i dont have the energy to waste on hating any of them. they mad blundering errors in my case too. but i cant change it, and im sure that not all social workers can be tarred with the same brush.

my files are gone. probably best in the long run that i cant read them, it means that i just get on with life now and tbh thats the best thing for me. i have no contact with any one who hurt/s me, my choice and ive moved on.

are you getting any help at all? are you finding its helping you reading your files? have you had counselling? for me i found nothing did anything to change how i felt, it had to come from me, and it did when i was 30. ive never looked back.

good luck with it all. x

I hate what the SW have done and I hate how some are failing children even now.

I would love to be able to get on with my life but sometimes it is very hard especially as my day to day life is effected by my childhood.

I am having therapy but have too many other things to deal with atm.

CoronaAndLime · 12/06/2010 18:50

Oh I see

Sorry, I got the wrong end of stick.

I know how it feels to be let down by those who were suposed to care for you as a child.

Its only really since I've had Dc myself that I've become angry at these 'people'.

Good for you having therapy. That is so bloody brave imo, somthing that i've put off for so long now.

You are taking posative steps and it will be ok.
