How often do you spend an evening listening to your H moan?

An alternative thread to the 'how often do you have sex' one - I am having a totally frustrating week with H coming home each night moaning about work.

I get fed up with my work, but by the time I've done my bit for the day, then got the kids through tea/bath/bedtime routine and emerge downstairs at 8/9ish I just want to switch off and enjoy some fun, light conversation. NOT moaning about someone elses day and 'oh that wouldn't work' to every helpful suggestion I make - feel like banging my head against a brick wall!

Oh get it now - I should spend my evenings on MN - that's where I'll get my light relief!

loves2walk.must admit its me the moaner in our combo.however, things must change because I am thinking life is too short for me to moan and drag others down.

Well, we both work and both have friends who work in our relevant spheres who understand, and to whom we can moan on phone/email/FB! I think we'd drive each other insane otherwise.

I suppose I should be more supportive, I'm feeling guilty now but was just a bit dragged down with it. Just tried starting a holiday conversation to change tack but that didn't last long as money worries started being voiced...so maybe is one of those days for H where all is wrong. You just have to o to bed on those days and hope for better the next.
