Date night ideas??

We are about to introduce Date Night to our relationship to help things along because as you all know things get harder when you have children. Our first one is Monday evening when DD has gone to bed. This is a stay at home date night.

Do you have Date Nights and what do you do??

Date Night ideas please?

I will kick it off. I was thinking about buying twister. lol

Well I have decided anyway. No tv. Hotdogs and chips and dips. A big bag of revels to share like we used to. Some booze and twister followed by scrabble.

Ending the night on a promise.

I think twister is a great idea, for some laughs.

The only thing I wouldnt have is the expectation of 'a promise'

Just wait and see how things go.

Get all your old CDs out, sit on the floor with some wine and reminisce and sing and dance and be silly.

Have a picnic on a rug on sitting room floor. Have nibbly food and wine and see what happens. No washing up or preparation and it worked really well when we did it for valentine's day ages ago.

'a promise' suits some. Maybe not every date night though I guess.

Love dancing round the living room. Thats something that we have done pre DD. Sounds like a plan.

Never had a rug picnic. Storing in my brain for next time.

we did this when we had a trial 6 month separation. Once a week, started with watching a dvd, separate couches, no booze, and sleeping in separate beds (in separate houses!) afterwards. It progressed to wine, snogging, then sex on the couch and eventually we got back together and lived happily ever after. Yay!!

Well, if we're having a night in, it tends to involve a good video, Baileys and chocolate, followed by hot sex.

ooh yes what whatname said you could even do a mixtape - well the equivalent on acd or ipod thingy!! i always find too much alcohol and I end up asleep on the sofa though snoring

Dress up for the Date night in smart clothes. Have dinner, chat, no TV. Then put spme music on and dance. If you feel a bit cheesy, then can even end with slow music...one asks the other for a slow dance and drift away

Play a board game.
Watch a DVD.
Wear your favourite dress/ outfit.
Have some nice food and drink in a candle lit atmosphere (yes cheesy I know but I find the soft lighting more conducive in creating a romantic environment).
And the obvious.

We like dressing up posh for eachother with a candle lit meal. If you think about it....if your going out for a meal you dress up for eachother ....no one else so why not do it indoors. Infact I have a dress I bought for valentines meal that I have warn twice but only in the house.
