Sorry long.Just don't know whether I am being overly sensitive. I am a sahm to 2dc.

It all started Mothers Day last year. He went to his football match as normal on the day before. Whilst there he managed to buy himself a football shirt. After he left I became ill with D and V. Yet I was still the one looking after ds when he was ill in early hours morning. I didn't have much of a lie in either as I took dd to church service. He did buy cards from dc but no gift.

On Valentines day this year we went shopping. My Dh had just received a bonus so he brought himself a large (£150) treat and treats for children. I made a joke out of it saying what am I getting. He said that I could have something nice for my birthday.
Incidently we had lunch that day in Mcdonalds

Now my birthday has come we went out and brought my present. Yet again he got something for himself and children too even though their birthdays are coming up soon.

I know this appears to be about money but I think really I am just not feeling valued.

Please tell me if i am being silly.

Your not being silly. Have you asked him why you've had no gifts and that it makes you feel like crap?

Next weekend, tell him he is looking after the children and you are having a day off. Then, do what you want and buy yourself what you please.

i agree with lapsang, you really need a day off, which will be good for him to have daddy time
