I didnt really want to get it as i am in our local shop nearly everyday. I have a docs appt in an hour and half as i am 6 days late, i dont think i am i am thinking its somethin to do with the pill as i have changed in the last cpl of months due to probs, anyway just thought i would give you a bit of info as to why, and the doctors always ask if its possible i am pregnant, and i can just foresee this happening them telling me to go away and do a test and come back another. So do you think aibu to ask dh to go get one for me? Wwyd

I meant - Come back another day - sorry

Yes - get one. Much better to be able to go in and say "well I'm definately not pregnant so what's going on?" than just have to wait for another appointment once you've tested. Assuming the GP can't test themselves while you're there. And assuming you're not pregnant, of course.

DramaInPyjamas · 12/04/2010 15:51

The doctor would be able to test you there and then. No? I thought they could..

plimsolls · 12/04/2010 18:46

My local doc doesn't do pregnancy tests unless you have already done one at home.

So, yanbu.
and I am BU becuase I've posted this too late and therefore my opinion is utterly redundant. Sigh.

Tiredmumno1 · 12/04/2010 19:41

Lol thats ok plimsolls, that is what these docs are like, we must not be very important

could you not go to the local family planning clinic and get a test done?

mumblechum · 12/04/2010 20:01

Couldn't you just pop into another shop?

DramaInPyjamas · 12/04/2010 20:34

@Tiredmumno1

Did you buy/get a test done?

CrankyTwanky · 12/04/2010 21:02

Soooo.........?

moviegirl · 12/04/2010 21:15

i work in a GP surgery and in my experience most of them will do the test for you regardless of whether you have done one at home - good GP's will mind you.

Not sure why you cant go into shop and buy one yourself though? ~ most shops, supermakets chemists stock them now.

Tiredmumno1 · 13/04/2010 00:40

Yes all done, it was neg, i already knew that but they need proof, not that i got very far, felt a bit fobbed off actually.

And the reason i said about the shop, is that its the only one in walking distance
