SIL has just ended a phsyical and emotionally abusive relationship (it's been going on for 2 years)
The only reason she moved out was that dh and I told her we were going to drive up and collect her. She is now living with a friend and is planning to move back home at the end of the month.
Her partner was verbally abusive to her, degrogatory, and has hit her at least once. Her self confidence is at rock bottom and she sees he abuse as justified.
She is really defencive of his behaviour and is adadment that he will change. She is also very keen that they stay friends, Is this normal?
