Soundtrack Night - Your Chance To Sing-Along-A-Dumpling

HappyToHaveASingSong · 26/03/2010 19:13

Dearly Be-Chucked, we are gathered here this evening because, despite our Dumpling status, our fabulosity holds no bounds and we like to have fun

This evening we will sing songs that make us Happy.

New or old, motown or hip hop, Lady Gaga or Bob Marley, we will sing them all.

Dumplings, lurkers and guests welcome - let's say 8 for 8.30

Anyone arriving earlier, please feel free to introduce yourselves and get yourselves in the mood....

Oh, I am jumping in on this thread! I have had all the following in my head this week:

No No No - KC White

Never Ever - All Saints

Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers

Castles Made of Sand - Jimi Hendrix

All quite sad, but that's where I'm at right now. Got to get on the 'I Will Survive' tip at some point I suppose!!

MavisGrind · 26/03/2010 21:54

Ah, here you all are!

Ok, so not entirely appropriate but I love this song by PJ Harvey

Right off to google some more...

MaggieMuggins · 26/03/2010 21:58

Ah, lovely PJ Harvey.

I know she's not everyone's cup of tea but this Kate Nash song makes me laugh.

maybees · 26/03/2010 21:59

Im still wearing my hoodie and my baggy jeans
Reach for the sky........

Away to find The Time Frequency New Emotion another classic x

Great party Happy
(dancing with bare feet and not stood on any lego yet......)

Mumfun · 26/03/2010 22:02

Very nice one Maggie.

Confession - havent been listening to hardly any music - maybe because its too emotional.

So my only offering at present is the kids singing Favourite Things from Sound of Music to make themselves feel better,

Better get thinking cap on

startingovernow · 26/03/2010 22:02

You can't hurt me now, you once had the power, I never felt so good about myself.......Madonna. Not great for dancing but good for the soul .

MavisGrind · 26/03/2010 22:03

Ok for Maybees who appears to be doing that late eighties/early nineties "And on the Seventh Day God Created Manchester" thing

Inspirals.. (although a bit depressing given the tone of the thread - sorry 'bout that

If fact, if you're having a bad day do not click on that link

startingovernow · 26/03/2010 22:06

Again not great for dancing but I find it v theraputic to blast The Phantom of the Opera as loud as possible, there's a great screaming bit in it that I love to scream to at the top of my voice, VERY LIBERATING. Dc's love the screaming song too .

MaggieMuggins · 26/03/2010 22:08

Ha ha, Mavis, completely inappropriate but loving it!!

HappyToHaveASingSong · 26/03/2010 22:08
