Please don't shout at me!
Maybe I shouldn't be here as I am not a mum but ..I am a french girl working and living in London having an affair with a married mum in London. I just wanted some thoughts as half the time I am very happy with what I have with my lover and the other half I feel guilty and conflicted and ashamed of the secrecy etc. I know its wrong but how wrong if she is very happy and I am. Its difficult.

well teasle we have talked about it a little but neither of us want maybe to face that reality. I suppose we are so caught up in the passions and excitement even though its beenm 4 months that the thread may break if we face up to those things and maybe thats how it should be.
No her DP does not know anything of us. Just writing that doesn't make me feel good.
I don't want her to leave her family behind for all its faults and yes I maybe missing other long term more conventional (from a les perspective) opportunities.

There is truth in that Gay40 as this 'discovery' she has made is deep and serious so maybe she has to think long and hard about where she wants to be in her life before anything happens

4 months is not a long time, not long enough for passion to die, for sure.

My best friend spent 6 years of her life as a mistress. Her "partner" would never leave his wife, although he was speaking about it now and then. He was the love of her life, and she fully trusted him. In hindsight, she now regrets this affair, because she could have spent those years building a relationship on more equal terms, with somebody who actually loved her, and not just wanted to shag her while having the homecomforts too. Your lover is having her cake and eating it. But what are you having, other than crumbs from her husbands table?

Thank you for sharing that Quintessential....put in that way it all sounds horribly bleak. Though i dont give a s**t about the crumbs from his table. I am serving her a banquet from mine.
but..your point is as i say bleak and sadly probably true

BTW not all husbands want to watch. But cheers for throwing that stereotype into the mix! Some do, but the reality is nothing like the fantasy and they do end up a bit disappointed to find their wives not at all interested in them ever again.
Would you want to watch your husband shagging a bloke?

I don't mean to be obnoxious, but it is the school holidays and all. So just to help us believe you are actually French, Anna, what would be the French for

"If you had told me that before it would never have happened"?

I never could do all those conditionals and to this day I think you have to be French to do so. German no better. Latin, no idea (Apocalypto giving age away here)...
